Tell us your views on special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) provision, services, and support in East Sussex.
This is our first annual survey for parents and carers of children and young people (aged up to 25) with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in East Sussex.

It is a chance for us to measure your experiences of local SEND services. It is intended to sit alongside the snapshot data we collect in our termly temperature check polls, the results of which tell us that many families do not feel the right support is in place. This survey is a more detailed request, although it should only take between 10 to 15 minutes to complete.
If you need help accessing or completing this survey, please get in touch.
The questions are based on those used in the 2021 survey of parent carers as part of East Sussex’s joint strategic needs assessment. Over two years have now passed since that report, which identified a number of areas for improvement, and we want to find out about your experiences more recently.
IMPORTANT: We try to spread out survey requests as much as possible, as we know parent carers are often asked to complete these on various subjects. East Sussex is expected to receive a local area SEND inspection soon by Ofsted and the Care Quality Commission, and this will include them issuing a parent carer survey. Please do participate in that survey too, even it comes out very soon after this one, as responses to that one will go directly to Ofsted and the CQC (we have no idea when the inspection will actually happen). It will all contribute as vital evidence about parent carer experiences.
If you have more than one child with SEND, you can submit another response after you have completed this one.
All responses are anonymous.
